This gentle flat-rolling urban out and back route heads south on the Contra Costa Canal and Iron Horse Trails into Walnut Creek and continues through San Ramon Valley and Sycamore Valley for a Starbucks stop at Blackhawk Plaza in Danville.
Martinez city streets to Pleasant Hill:
Contra Costa Canal Trail and Iron Horse Trail into Walnut Creek:
S Broadway and Rudgear to Danville Blvd; roll along San Ramon Valley through Alamo and Danville:
Danville city streets-Front St and Hartz Way to Laurel and Brookside Dr:
Flat roll along Sycamore Valley on Sycamore Valley Rd and Camino Tassajara:
Reverse route through Sycamore Valley & San Ramon Valley:
Iron Horse Trail back to Contra Costa Canal Trail:
Morello Ave to Hidden Lakes Park and Hidden Valley Park:
Center to Glacier and Arnold Dr to Fig Tree Ln:
This is a great lazy autumn day coffee/tea run; it’s nice to see the remaining pockets of fall colors throughout this ride. In other areas, the fallen leaves of red and gold is a gentle reminder of nature’s preparation for winter.
