Buellton is a small city in Santa Barbara County on the Central Coast of California. It sits in the Santa Ynez Valley along with its more popular neighboring community of Solvang, the Danish Capitol of America. It is also home to Pea Soup Andersen’s, a major roadside stop on Route 101 since 1924.
This cycling tour traverses the diverse regions surounding Santa Ynez Valley and around Santa Barbara County. The expansive valleys has rolling hills, lush pastures, wineries and vineyards on quiet country back roads-it’s ideal for cycling! Many of these route follow narrow canyon roads with challenging climbs and gorgeous views!

Our fixed base camp was at Flying Flags RV Park and Campground at 180 Avenue of Flags in Buelton.
