This short cycling trip takes us from the flat open valleys to the beautiful less traveled mountain roads around the northern Sierra Nevada Mountains. We begin this cycling adventure with two days of riding through the gorgeous Carson Valley and Carson River before finishing off with a full day of climbing up the gentler mountain passes as part of the Alta Alpina Challenge-Riding the Wild Sierra.
You will discover the remarkable natural beauty and grandeur of the Alpine Mountains that makes this remote area one of the best cycling regions in California!

Woodfords Inn served as our basecamp for this wonderful three day stay. Woodfords is a super place to stay; it’s reasonably priced with clean rooms and wonderful service. Each morning, you’ll be greeted with a warm friendly smile from Ron-the owner; it’s a great way to start the day!
