This ride rolls through the beautiful Vaca Valley before heading west along Putah Creek on CA-128 for an out & back up to Monticello Dam. The route continues eastward for a quiet roll through the beautiful orchards and valley farmlands into Winters. The return south continues through the rich agricultural farmlands and orchards around Dixon to Vacaville.
Begin this ride from Centennial Park in Vacaville to Browns Valley Pkwy.
Meander around the residential neighborhoods below Drakes Point on Brown St and Markham Ave to Wesley and Vine St.
Vine St rolls past Bascherini Reservoir as it heads north up through the backcountry homes to Gibson Canyon.
Head west on Farrell Rd and cut across the open valley on Vaca Valley Rd to Pleasants Valley Rd.
Pleasants Valley Rd is a gorgeous stretch of flat road that begins along Vaca Valley through the rich farmlands and orchards with fantastic views of the Vaca Mountains and English Hills.
The flat-rolling terrain takes you through the valley with horse and cattle ranches, farms and nurseries.
Pleasants Valley continues north towards Cantelow Rd.
The gentle rolling terrain continues through some horse ranches with paddocks to the pastoral lands with grazing cattle.
The road roughly follows Pleasants Creek through the scenic valley before crossing over Putah Creek towards the T-junction at CA-128.
Continue on CA-128 W; the rolling terrain follows the curvatures of Putah Creek along the edge of Yolo County.
The gentle rolling miles heads to Canyon Creek Resort with great views of the mountain ridges.
The road enters into Napa County as it crosses over Putah Creek for the climb up to Monticello Dam; it’s 0.7 mile with gradient ranges of 6-8%.

Turn around and return east on CA-128.
Roll through the scenic valley orchards into the town of Winters.
Meander through the residential neighborhoods along Main St to Downtown Winters.
Stop at the Rotary Park.
Turn south on Railroad Ave, cross Putah Creek back into Solano County.
Continue eastward along the creek through the expansive valley orchards and farmlands along Putah Creek Rd to the T junction at Stevenson Bridge Rd.
Head south on Stevenson Bridge and continue to meander around the rich agricultural fields and orchards.
Jog around the scenic valley on Sievers Rd and Schroeder Rd towards Dixon.
Head west on Dixon Ave, the road cuts across the valley orchards to Nunes Rd.
Turn left on Nunes, the single lane country road turns southward past the scattered ranches and open fields.
The road name changes to Oday as it travels along the west side of I-80 across Sweany Creek to Midway Rd.
Head west on Midway, it rolls across the valley past the ranch homes and pastoral fields.
Take a jog around the industrial buildings on Eubanks Dr to Aldridge Rd and Rice Ln.
Head south on Browns Valley Rd and Browns Valley Pkwy for the return to Centennial Park.
This wonderful scenic route takes you through the gorgeous Vaca Valley out to Monticello Dam at the west end of Lake Berryessa. You’ll also enjoy the flat roll around the expansive valley orchards and rich farmlands in Solano County.
