This ride explores the gorgeous marshlands around Napa-Sonoma Marshland Wildlife Area and the beautiful rolling hillside vineyards around the Carneros Wine region.
Begin this ride from the corner of Golden Gate Dr & Stanly Ln in Napa.Head south on Stanly Ln for a leisurely roll through the beautiful Stanly Ranch vineyards.
Continue through the beautiful vineyards on Stanly Cross Rd.
Exit Stanly Ranch onto Cuttings Wharf Rd, the road leads out to the Boat Launch Facility with wonderful views of Napa River!
Turn around, exit the wharf area and turn left onto Las Amigas Rd.
Continue south on Milton Rd; this out & back segment takes you out to Napa Valley Marina with expansive valley views west of the Napa River.
Milton Rd continues through Edgerley Island behind the waterfront homes along the Napa River.
One mile after crossing the RR tracks, look for the yellow gated entrance into the Napa-Sonoma Marshes State Wildlife Area on the right side of the road.
Follow the dirt road to the T junction, turn left and follow the levee road south along the east side of the marshlands at HCU Pond 8.
Enjoy the wildlife views-white pelicans!
The road comes to an end at the south end of Milton Rd.
Turn around and retrace your way back along the levee road to the information panel.
Go straight and follow the levee road NW around the pond.
Enjoy the glorious wildlife views!
The road comes to a dead end, turn around and retrace your way back to the main gate.
Retrace your way back on Milton Rd to Las Amigas.
Head west on Las Amigas, the road cuts across the beautiful vineyards around the Carneros wine region.
Turn left on Buchli Station Rd, it rolls southward through the beautiful Bouchaine Vineyards.
The road comes to an end at the Huichica Creek Wildlife Area parking lot.
Continue through the gate and make an immediate right turn past the wooden shelter. The road leads out to an abandoned concrete government building.

Turn around and make your way back to the main road.
Turn right and follow the gravel levee road south along the slough on the west side of Coon Island.
Enjoy the still water mirror images and the marshland views!
At the wooden pier viewing area, turn right onto the levee road.
The road extends westward across Huichica Creek Unit, it’s seasonally closed for ground-nesting birds from March-September.

The road turns southward with incredible views!
Follow the levee road eastward as it rolls along Appleby Bay and Napa Slough.
The road turns northward along the marshlands with grand views of the Vaca Mountains!
About half a mile past the wooden pier viewing area, turn left at the next gate onto another levee road for a scenic out and back jaunt.
The road extends westward across Huichica Creek Unit with wonderful views of the marshlands!
It comes to an end at the T junction, turn around and reverse your way back onto the main road to the parking lot.
Cross the RR tracks and retrace your steps on Buchli Station Rd to Las Amigas Rd.
Las Amigas Rd continues west through the wineries and rolling vineyards around the Carneros wine region before coming to a T at Duhig Rd. Enjoy the spectacular views of the rolling vineyards!
Turn left onto Duhig Rd, the road name changes to Ramal as it turns westward into Sonoma County.
Head south on Skaggs Island Rd for a short out & back segment through the vineyards and ranches towards Hudeman Slough.
At the bridge, turn around and make your way back to Ramal Rd.
Continue east on Ramal Rd; the road changes to Duhig Rd as it crosses back into Napa County.
Duhig tilts up for a short scenic climb through the rolling vineyards.

Duhig drops down to the junction at Hwy 12. Turn right onto Hwy 12 and head east for the return to Stanly Ln and Golden Gate Dr.
