This flat route takes you on a tour around the scenic Delta along the Sacramento River from Tyler Island to Steamboat Slough and Grand Island. The ride continues south for a short loop around Brannan Island through the resort marinas along the San Joaquin and Mokelumne Rivers.
Head east on Main St through Isleton’s Old Town-Chinatown to H St.
Take Hwy 160/River Rd-cut across Andrus Island through a residential neighborhood on W Tyler Island Bridge Rd to the bridge crossing over Georgiana Slough.
Head NE on Tyler Island Rd-the winding levee road travels along Georgiana Slough on the west edge of Tyler Island.
Tyler Island Rd curves right towards Race Track Rd.
Head north through the vineyards, farmlands and ranches along Race Track Rd.
At the Walnut Grove-Thornton junction, go slightly left onto River Rd into Walnut Grove. Cross the green bascule Walnut Grove Bridge over Sacramento River to River Rd/Hwy 160.
Turn right onto Hwy 160 N; the road travels along the NE edge of Grand Island along the west side of the Sacramento River.
The flat run along the river provides scenic views of the expansive vineyards and orchards around Grand Island.
Hwy 160 N comes to a junction with Grand Island Rd at Steamboat Slough Bridge. Turn left onto Grand Island Rd, the road heads south on the west side of the island along Steamboat Slough.
Grand Island Rd rolls along through the vineyards and orchards towards Grand Island Mansion.
The levee road continues to wind along the slough past old ranches and waterfront homes towards the J-Mack Ferry.
At the 220 junction, go straight to stay on Grand Island Rd, winding levee road continues through vast farmlands around Walkers Landing to the Hog Island Boat Launching Facility.
Grand Island Rd continues south along Steamboat Slough as it winds around the gorgeous fertile Delta farmlands.

Grand Island Rd curves to the east and travels along the Sacramento River before coming to an end at the yellow bascule Isleton Bridge.
Cross the Isleton Bridge over Sacramento River and head south on Hwy 160 back to Isleton-Main St.
Meander through Isleton on 2nd St and A St to 4th St and Jackson Blvd.
The road name changes to Jackson Slough Rd as it exits town through the expansive farmland and vineyards around Andrus Island.
Cross Hwy 12 to stay on Jackson Slough Rd, it travels southward along the slough through the beautiful agricultural farmlands to Brannan Island Rd.
Turn left onto Brannan Island Rd; this flat levee road goes along Sevenmile Slough past Owl Harbor, Andreas Cove Yacht Club and the boats at Bruno’s Island Yacht Harbor.
The road bends to the left as it heads east along the San Joaquin River past several island resort and marina areas.
Check out the elevated houses along the river at Libordi Shoals.
At the far east edge of Brannan Island, the road heads north along the Mokelumne River through a few more marine resort areas and a RV Park.
The road exits the marina resorts out towards the farmlands to Hwy 12 and Terminous Rd.
Terminous Rd cuts across the agricultural fields on Andrus Island for the return into Isleton.
This flat ride takes you in the heart of the delta along the river byways through the vast agricultural farmlands with miles of vineyards, orchards dotted with old farmhouses and ramshackle barns. You’ll enjoy the quiet traffic-free roads, the scenic landscape and during this time of the year, you’ll still see lots of migratory birds!
