Ride #3-This ride heads east along Lake Hennessey on Sage Canyon Rd to Capell Valley. It continues south on Monticello Rd for a climb up Mt George before descending into Napa. Enjoy the picturesque Napa Valley vineyards and wineries on the return on Silverado Trail to St Helena.
Begin this ride from John Meily Park in St Helena and take Pope St to Silverado Trail.
Head south on Silverado Trail; the flat-rolling terrain leads you through the scenic Napa Valley vineyards and wineries to Sage Canyon Rd.
The rolling terrain on Sage Canyon Rd/CA-128 E goes 8.2 miles along Conn Dam and Lake Hennessey to the Chiles Pope Valley Rd junction.

At the junction, turn right and head east on Sage Canyon Rd/CA-128; the rolling terrain for the first 2.4 miles goes along Sage Creek to the gates at Kuleto Estate Winery.
The road climbs out of the canyon with gradient ranges of 5-8% for one mile.
The road levels out and continues pass the Nichelini Family Winery towards Lower Chiles Valley Rd.
CA-128 E continues through the vineyards along Elder Valley followed by a fast sweeping descent to Turtle Rock.
CA-128 E continues on flat-rolling smooth pavement through a scattered ranching community along Capell Valley.
The road climbs out of the valley before dropping down to Berryessa Corners for a stop at Lake Berryessa Market off Steele Canyon Rd.
Return south on Monticello Rd/CA-121 S; the rolling terrain winds through the woodlands along Capell Creek with gentle grades up to Munson Ranch.
The road climbs up from Circle Oaks Dr to the summit at Waters Rd; it’s 0.6 mile with an average grade of 6%.
CA-121 S drops down towards the Wooden Valley junction with gorgeous views of the valley vineyards.
Go straight to stay on CA-121/Monticello Rd; the climb up Mt George to the summit at Kenzo Estate is 1.9 miles with an average grade of 5.5% and steeper pitches of 9-12%.
The sweeping descent on CA-121 drops into Napa Valley onto Monticello Rd and Trancas St.
Head north on Silverado Trail; the road travels for 16.9 flat-rolling miles through the beautiful estate wineries and vineyards along the picturesque Napa Valley.

Return on Pope St to John Meily Park.
