This is a Martinez walk/hike from Holiday Highlands Park to the top of Muir Ridge. The leisurely jaunt provides ample stops for me to check out the wonderful early spring flowers around my neighborhood.

Follow the path through Holiday Highlands Park to Ridgewood Dr.

Enjoy the array of spring flowers on Ridgewood Dr and Sunhill Ln.

Head east on Midway Dr to Milano Way.

Mile 0.7-turn left and take the path leading up to Muir Ridge.

Mile 1.0-veer right to the open vista point and enjoy the ridge top views!

Return to the main path. Mile 1.1-stop at the sitting rock next to the tree and enjoy the views of the East Bay Hills!

The path continues along the top of the ridge overlooking the neighborhood homes with fabulous views of the Diablo Range, Carquinez Strait, and the marshes and wetlands around Mallard Reservoir.

Mile 1.4-the path goes around the bend for a roller coaster pitch up to the open grassy clearing.

Enjoy the panoramic and 360 views of the entire area!

Mile 1.5-the path winds down from the ridge through tall grass; a sign of infrequent hikers.

Mile 1.6-the path ends onto a gravel road through a rural neighborhood in Pacheco.
