It certainly still feels like summer-it’s sunny and 70 right now! It’s going to be a fabulous day going up Mt Tam.

The route we take goes up Cascade Dr to Marion Ave, Edgewood and Sequoia Valley Rd. We climb, climb, and climb to Panoramic Hwy and to the Pan Toll Campground. The views along the way are fantastic!

We continue up Pan Toll Rd to the east parking lot. Ridgecrest Blvd takes us up to the summit. The views and surrounding landscape are always spectacular!

We reach the summit and all I hear is the constant chattering of children’s voices; there’s a group of school kids out here on a field trip.

We descend Ridgecrest to Bolinas Fairfax Rd. The run along the ridge is one of my favorite parts of this ride; especially on a weekday-there is no traffic and other cyclists out on this road! It’s absolutely wonderful!

We drop down to the lake and continue the climb up Bolinas Fairfax Rd to Pine Mountain. The ice cream at Fairfax Scoop is calling out to us all; what a great incentive to get up and over the mountain!

There is no long line at Fairfax Scoop-all the kids are still in school! I get a single with raspberry sorbet and chocolate. What a delicious ending to another marvelous ride up Tam!

We take the bike route to Larkspur and make our way up Chapman Dr to Camino Alto.

Thanks to everyone for joining me on yet another perfect day up Tam! It’s quality miles with quality climbing and quality company! Does anything else matter?

Weather: SUPERB! Sunny and warm with brilliant blue skies. Temps ranged from the mid 70’s to the mid 80’s. Just perfect!
