The ride I lead today meets up at the Safeway on Miller Ave and Camino Alto in Mill Valley. There is ample street parking with no time limitations. Water and restrooms are available inside Safeway.

The route takes us up Cascade Dr to Marion Ave and Edgewood Ave. We continue on Sequoia Valley Rd to Panoramic Hwy. There is a brief regroup at the Pan Toll Campground. Water and restrooms are available.

We continue up Pan Toll to the parking lot and to the summit. There are some fabulous views along the way up. I catch sight of a fox crossing the road. Michael passes a nude hiker as he’s making his way up the path to the summit. Go figure; I want to know if he’s wearing enough sunscreen. It was quite warm up there!

We descend the summit and continue on Ridgecrest Blvd to Bolinas Fairfax Rd. There is a regroup at the dam.

We continue on Bolinas Fairfax Rd up to Pine Mountain and make the descent into Fairfax. There is a stop at the Fairfax Scoop for their homemade organic ice cream. I have a double in a waffle cup with 4 flavors; melon sorbet, toasted hazelnut, strawberry and coffee. It was both delicious and refreshing!

We take the bike route through San Anselmo and make our way through Larkspur and take Chapman Dr to get up and over Camino Alto back to Mill Valley.
